Karachi: The dollar rate in the interbank market reached 191 rupees 75 paise and once again reached the highest level in history.
On the fourth day of the trading week, the dollar rose by 98 paise and was sold at 191 in the interbank market. In the open market, the dollar continued to sell at Rs 192.50 paise with an increase of one rupee.
On the other hand, the stock market saw a decrease of 412 points, the 100 indexes came to the level of 42,412 points. It should be noted that the value of the dollar has been steadily rising for the past few days. Yesterday, the dollar closed at the rate of Rs 190.2 paise in the interbank market. In the open market, the dollar rose by Rs 2.5, after which it traded at Rs 192.
Earlier, on the second day of the business week, the rupee had risen sharply by 13 paise against the US dollar in the interbank market. The dollar has appreciated by more than Rs 33 in the current financial year.
